I Met My Real Family Today,
This is the text I sent to my family group chat on WhatsApp as I proceeded to send a photo of myself and a lion. I sent this photo to various other group chats I am in, consisting of extended family and friends. One of the many photos I have sent on this trip.
Referring to the photo, I just felt a sense of amazement and excitement. Still, even stunned to express myself properly.
I am so amazed at the places education has taken me. While on the bus ride on this trip, I started to ponder how I had never been on flights consistently until I got to Yale. I started to daydream amongst future trips I hope to take, whilst thinking about how I can include my own family.
Seeing Charlie run up to see the animals with her father truly made me excited about how my education can benefit my family in the future.
I know this blog post is all over the place, short, and choppy, but I am just excited to even see more of the world.
